This role sits at the heart of large-scale software delivery, supporting mission-critical CI/CD and build systems used by global engineering teams. You will act as the first line of defense for developers facing pipeline, build, or deployment issues across complex software supply chains. The environment is highly technical, fast-paced, and deeply collaborative, with constant interaction across distributed teams. You will work on modern tooling ecosystems including Jenkins, Git-based workflows, Docker, and artifact repositories, ensuring smooth and reliable software releases. This position combines hands-on troubleshooting with deep technical analysis and structured escalation management. Accountabilities

• Provide frontline technical support for CI/CD pipelines, build systems, and release workflows, ensuring rapid resolution of developer issues and minimal disruption to delivery cycles.
• Triage, diagnose, and resolve build failures, dependency issues, configuration errors, and deployment incidents across tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Maven, Docker, and Spinnaker.
• Investigate and troubleshoot complex software supply chain issues, performing root-cause analysis and delivering structured, actionable solutions.
• Manage concurrent Slack threads and ticket queues, ensuring timely responses, accurate prioritization, and effective communication with engineering teams.
• Handle escalation workflows by gathering complete technical context, logs, and reproduction steps before routing to downstream engineering teams.
• Maintain and improve internal documentation, including FAQs, troubleshooting guides, and reusable solution artifacts for recurring issues.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying patterns, proposing fixes, and contributing to system reliability enhancements.
  
  

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in Build & Release Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or software development roles with strong CI/CD exposure.
• Solid expertise in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, and related build/release pipelines.
• Strong hands-on experience with Maven, Java build systems, Docker, artifact repositories (Artifactory/Nexus), and software supply chain workflows.
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments, Git workflows, and command-line operations.
• Experience with scripting (Python and/or Bash) for automation, troubleshooting, and system support tasks.
• Familiarity with deployment orchestration tools such as Spinnaker or equivalent platforms.
• Strong debugging and analytical skills with the ability to isolate complex technical issues efficiently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to engineering stakeholders.
• Knowledge of SDLC principles and production system reliability practices.
• Nice to have: experience with Kubernetes, Prometheus/Grafana, and prior SRE exposure.
