Senior Backend Software Engineer (Java/Spring Boot + LLM Workflow Integration) Location: LATAM – Remote Contract: Vendor (InAllMedia) About the Role We are looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer with strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and modern API architectures.

This role goes beyond traditional backend development.

You will design and integrate AI-driven workflows and backend components that power LLM-enabled product features.

You will collaborate closely with product, frontend, design, and a specialized AI platform team.

The ideal engineer is hands-on, structured, and capable of owning complex backend integrations that support intelligent experiences at scale.

What You Will Do • Design and build scalable backend services using Java + Spring Boot

•Develop and maintain high-quality RESTful APIs • Design and integrate LLM workflows that support AI-enabled features

•Implement internal orchestrations and backend flows around LLMs and inference APIs • Integrate backend services with:

•embeddings (consume/store) • vector stores (query/interact)

•AI inference APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) • Work closely with the AI platform team (this role integrates with AI systems but does not own ML infrastructure)

•Improve service performance, reliability, observability, and code quality • Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and solution design

•Troubleshoot distributed systems and AI-integrated backend processes Must-Have Skills • Java

•Spring Boot • Gradle

•Microservices architecture • RESTful API design and lifecycle best practices

•SQL databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL) • Experience designing backend systems around:

•LLM workflows • AI service integration patterns

•Backend orchestration for AI-enabled features • Ability to work with (integration level):

•embeddings • vector stores

•inference APIs • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

•Ability to operate in fast-moving, cross-functional environments Nice to Have • Kafka or RabbitMQ

•Event-driven architecture • GraphQL

•API gateways • Experience with hybrid API ecosystems

•Experience with multi-step AI/LLM orchestrations or agent-based systems Soft Skills • Strong ownership and accountability

•Clear communication and cross-functional collaboration • Architectural mindset with hands-on execution

•Ability to work autonomously in distributed teams
