Must Have/Required Skills • Must have 5 years' experience as a Senior SQL Server DBA.
Relevant experience may substitute for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.
Senior Database Administrator Position Summary/Job Purpose: The Senior Database Administrator works as a key member of the infrastructure team supporting the applications migration efforts.
The Database Administrator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the migration of application databases within the SC Department of Environmental Services, Office of Technology.
This position ensures seamless transition from legacy systems to modern platforms while maintaining data integrity, security, and compliance with state IT standards.
The role supports critical environmental data systems and contributes to the department's technology modernization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities/Job Functions: Migration Planning & Execution • Assess existing databases for migration readiness.
Interview Process: 1 round, Virtual/Online Duration of the Contract: 12 months Possibility for Extension: Yes Work Location: Fully Remote Candidate Location: Candidate MUST be a SC resident.
