Job Title: Web Development Manager

Our client company is a fast-growing US-based marketing agency focused on building high-performing digital experiences that drive measurable business growth for clients. We cover graphic designs, web designs, web development, and many other services for clients across a wide range of industries.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Web Development Manager to lead our web team, oversee client web projects, and improve the overall quality and conversion performance of the websites we build.

This is not just a developer role. We are looking for someone who can combine technical expertise, leadership, project management, CRO thinking, and strong client communication skills.

Work Schedule: Flexible 20-30 hours/week to start and transition to full-time very quickly. US Hours.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead and mentor the web development team
• Assign projects based on team strengths and workload capacity
• Review work to ensure high-quality standards across all projects
• Support team growth, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Help improve internal web development processes and workflows

Web Development & CRO

• Build and optimize websites using Shopify, WordPress, Framer, and Webflow
• Conduct Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) audits to improve website performance
• Identify website issues that negatively impact conversions and user experience
• Improve site structure, speed, responsiveness, and usability
• Support troubleshooting and technical problem-solving on complex projects

Project Management

• Manage multiple web projects simultaneously from kickoff to launch
• Create timelines, prioritize tasks, and ensure projects are delivered on time
• Coordinate with designers, marketers, copywriters, and developers
• Maintain organized project documentation and communication

Client Communication

• Lead client meetings for website projects
• Explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical clients
• Provide project updates and manage client expectations professionally
• Build strong long-term relationships through excellent customer service

AI & Innovation

• Use modern AI tools such as Lovable, Google Stitch, and other AI-assisted web development platforms
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency using AI workflows
• Stay updated on emerging AI tools and web development trends
• Help implement scalable systems and processes using AI technology

Requirements

Technical Experience

• 3+ years of hands-on web development experience
• Strong experience with: Shopify, WordPress, Webflow, and Framer.
• Strong understanding of Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO)
• Experience identifying conversion bottlenecks and improving website performance
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Understanding of responsive design and mobile optimization
• Experience with website speed optimization and SEO best practices
• Familiarity with tracking setup including pixels, Google Tag Manager, and analytics tools

Leadership & Communication

• Previous experience leading or mentoring developers
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Excellent English communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced agency environment
• Comfortable working directly with clients and presenting solutions

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience working in a marketing agency environment
• Experience with AI-assisted development workflows
• Familiarity with UX/UI best practices
• Experience improving operational efficiency within a web team
