Requisitos

• This role can sit remote in the US but must work CST hours and be comfortable traveling to Austin, TX 1-2 times per month
• This is a PART TIME position (approximately 20 hours per week)
• Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience designing and implementing RTL for FPGA-based systems
• Proficiency in at least one HDL: Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL
• Experience with FPGA synthesis, place-and-route, and timing analysis
• Familiarity with simulation and debugging tools
• Ability to read and interpret hardware specifications and requirements
• Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience with FPGA vendors such as Xilinx/AMD or Intel
• Familiarity with embedded systems and processor interfaces
• Experience with high-speed interfaces (e.g., PCIe, Ethernet, DDR)
• Scripting experience (Python, TCL, Bash)
• Experience working in a regulated or quality-managed environment (e.g., ISO 9001)
• Exposure to version control systems (e.g., Git)

Responsabilidades

• The RTL / FPGA Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, verification, and maintenance of FPGA-based digital logic solutions
• This role collaborates closely with hardware, firmware, and systems teams to deliver reliable, high-quality designs that meet functional, timing, and quality requirements
• Design and develop RTL using Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL
• Implement, synthesize, and debug FPGA designs using vendor toolchains (e.g., Xilinx/AMD, Intel/Altera)
• Develop and execute simulation and verification strategies, including testbenches
• Perform timing analysis and closure
• Support hardware bring-up, debugging, and validation
• Document designs, interfaces, and test results in accordance with company procedures
• Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement activities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure requirements are clearly defined and met
• Follow applicable quality, development, and configuration management procedures
