We are looking for an experienced React Native developer to take over an existing mobile application that is partially built and requires stabilization, debugging, and continued development.
We are looking for someone who can quickly assess what’s working vs. what’s not and take ownership of improving the app’s overall stability and quality.
The app is already developed to a significant extent (frontend and backend), but there are outstanding issues related to bugs, QA quality, and incomplete or inconsistent feature implementation.
This initial contract is focused on Phase 1:
We are specifically looking for someone who:
The goal is to stabilize and improve an existing product.
If the initial phase goes well, there is strong potential for continued work and expansion into additional phases.
Please do not apply if your experience is primarily building apps from scratch without working on existing codebases.
Bonus if you have experience auditing or inheriting apps built by other teams.

Requisitos
- We are looking for an experienced React Native developer to take over an existing mobile application that is partially built and requires stabilization, debugging, and continued development

- Has experience taking over and improving existing codebases
- Is strong in debugging and problem-solving (not just building from scratch)
- Prioritizes clean, maintainable code and proper QA/testing
- Please do not apply if your experience is primarily building apps from scratch without working on existing codebases
- Bonus if you have experience auditing or inheriting apps built by other teams
- Any relevant experience with React Native + Firebase/backend systems
- Clean code and proper testing are extremely important to us in this role
Responsabilidades
- The app is already developed to a significant extent (frontend and backend), but there are outstanding issues related to bugs, QA quality, and incomplete or inconsistent feature implementation
- Review the existing codebase (React Native + backend)
- Identify and fix critical bugs and stability issues
- Improve overall app performance and reliability
- Ensure key user flows are functioning correctly
- Validate proper API integration and data handling
- Provide a clear assessment of current state and next steps
- One key area of focus will be ensuring proper functionality of core features such as mapping/location-based flows and user-generated content
- Communicates clearly and proactively
- The goal is to stabilize and improve an existing product
- If the initial phase goes well, there is strong potential for continued work and expansion into additional phases
- Brief examples of projects where you took over and improved an existing app
- Your approach to debugging and stabilizing a codebase
