They are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager (Web Safety) to architect advanced system protections and lead a team of senior Machine Learning Engineers in safeguarding platform integrity.

Responsibilities • Architect and build next-generation system protections, directly contributing through hands-on design, model training, and deployment strategies

•Lead and manage a small, senior team of Machine Learning Engineers, empowering them with clear direction and autonomy • Collaborate closely with Research, Safety, Product, and Policy teams to leverage existing tools and drive cutting-edge advancements

•Utilize state-of-the-art models to detect and prevent problematic content effectively • Establish robust evaluation frameworks and metrics, clearly measuring progress and identifying areas for improvement

•Support your team's professional growth and maintain high performance through mentorship and clear career progression Skills • Extensive hands-on experience managing machine learning teams, ideally in web safety, content integrity, or related domains

•Successfully trained, fine-tuned, or distilled LLMs and traditional ML models to solve real-world business problems • Deeply involved technically—actively designing solutions, training models, and guiding deployment processes alongside your team

•Excel at collaborating across teams to integrate existing tools and thoughtfully architect new solutions • Strong emotional intelligence, empathy, and the ability to effectively connect with colleagues
