Analista/Especialista de Cloud OCI, Linux e Sistemas

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Analista/Especialista de Cloud OCI, Linux e Sistemas based in Brazil.

This is a hands-on infrastructure role focused on administering, supporting, and evolving Oracle Cloud Infrastructure environments. You will work across OCI, Linux, Java/Spring Boot applications, and SQL Server, with a strong emphasis on troubleshooting and performance optimization. The role plays a strategic part in maintaining the availability, security, stability, and performance of critical technology environments. You will investigate complex infrastructure and application issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions. The position also offers the opportunity to contribute to infrastructure architecture, automation, observability, and system evolution. You will collaborate closely with development and technology teams in a production-focused environment where reliability and continuous improvement are key.

Accountabilities

• Administer and maintain Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments, including compute instances, networking, load balancers, storage, security, and related cloud resources.
• Manage Linux servers, including configuration, monitoring, resource optimization, service administration, and troubleshooting.
• Deploy, configure, maintain, and support Java applications and Spring Boot-based services and microservices.
• Analyze infrastructure performance across CPU, memory, disk, network, and other system resources to identify bottlenecks and optimization opportunities.
• Troubleshoot Java services in production by analyzing logs, JVM behavior, heap usage, Garbage Collection, threads, and resource consumption.
• Administer and optimize SQL Server environments, including queries, stored procedures, indexes, execution plans, locks, deadlocks, concurrency, and overall database performance.
• Support system deployments, upgrades, configuration changes, and application releases.
• Use monitoring and observability tools to proactively identify infrastructure and application issues.
• Investigate critical incidents, perform root-cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and help prevent recurrence.
• Identify infrastructure and application bottlenecks and recommend scalable and reliable solutions.
• Automate recurring administrative and operational activities to improve efficiency and reduce manual work.
• Support development teams with infrastructure, deployment, troubleshooting, and application performance topics.
• Contribute to the evolution of infrastructure architecture and technology environments.
• Maintain clear technical documentation covering environments, configurations, operational procedures, troubleshooting steps, and implemented solutions.
  
  

Requirements

• Practical professional experience working with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) in production environments.
• Strong knowledge of OCI services including Compute, Networking, Load Balancer, Storage, and Cloud Security.
• Solid Linux administration experience, preferably with Ubuntu, including systemd, processes, services, networking, disks, memory, and CPU management.
• Strong troubleshooting capabilities, including log analysis and investigation of complex production issues.
• Shell scripting experience is a plus.
• Hands-on experience supporting Java applications, particularly Spring Boot-based systems.
• Experience troubleshooting Java applications in production, including JVM, heap, Garbage Collection, threads, and resource consumption.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture is desirable.
• Strong SQL Server experience, including query and stored procedure optimization, indexing, execution plans, locks, deadlocks, concurrency, and production performance troubleshooting.
• Ability to analyze complex technical problems, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.
• Experience with monitoring and observability practices and tools.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with infrastructure, development, and other technology teams.
• A proactive and analytical mindset, with a focus on automation, continuous improvement, reliability, and performance.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes/OKE is a plus.
• Experience with Kafka, CI/CD, Jenkins, cloud security, high-availability architectures, or Java application profiling is desirable.
