The Opportunity

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you'll take ownership of designing, building, and scaling backend services that underpin critical API products.

You'll work closely with product, engineering, and leadership teams to shape technical strategy, architect scalable systems, and deliver high-quality software that directly impacts customers.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges, has strong architectural instincts, and wants to contribute beyond just writing code.

What You'll Be Doing

✅ Building and scaling API-first products and backend platforms

✅ Designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance distributed systems

✅ Taking ownership of the full software development lifecycle

✅ Working closely with stakeholders to define requirements and product enhancements

✅ Contributing to architecture decisions and long-term technical strategy

✅ Improving development processes, tooling, and engineering best practices

✅ Participating in technical planning and cross-functional collaboration

✅ Mentoring junior engineers and helping grow the engineering team

✅ Supporting recruitment and technical hiring initiatives

What We're Looking For

Essential Experience

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong commercial experience with Go (Golang)
• Experience building and maintaining large-scale backend applications
• Strong understanding of software design principles and design patterns
• Experience designing and consuming APIs
• Kubernetes and containerized application experience
• Experience working within Agile development environments
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
