Backend Developer (Scala/Java)

Backend Developer (Scala/Java) | GCP | Kubernetes | Kafka

We're looking for a Backend Developer to join a global engineering team building scalable, cloud-native applications. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys designing distributed systems, developing high-performance backend services, and working with modern cloud technologies.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and microservices.
• Build robust REST APIs and backend services.
• Develop event-driven solutions using Kafka.
• Deploy and manage applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable software solutions.
• Contribute to system architecture, performance optimization, and reliability.

Required Qualifications

• Strong professional experience with Scala/Java.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience designing and developing REST APIs.
• Experience working with Kafka or other event streaming platforms.
• Experience building microservices, distributed systems, and scalable backend applications.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Apache Thrift or similar RPC frameworks.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures and messaging systems.
