About the Client

This position will support one of our clients, a global company focused in cruises.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and implement backend services, APIs, and integrations aligned with approved Feature Design Documents
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following platform standards
• Proactively refactor code to reduce technical debt within scope
• Act as the primary gatekeeper for backend code quality through thorough PR reviews
• Review code for correctness, readability, performance, resource usage, and test coverage
• Block merges that do not meet quality standards and provide actionable feedback
• Ensure all implementations align with architectural guidelines and platform standards
• Develop and maintain unit and integration tests, targeting 80%+ code coverage
• Contribute to and improve overall test strategies and practices
• Diagnose and resolve production issues, ensuring root cause resolution
• Participate in root cause analysis and postmortems
• Raise technical risks and architectural concerns proactively
• Collaborate with Tech Lead to ensure alignment on implementation and design direction
• Partner with mobile engineers on API design and integration contracts
• Support QA teams with testability improvements and defect resolution
• Mentor mid-level developers through code reviews and pairing sessions

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of backend development experience
• Strong experience with .NET / C# in production environments
• Solid experience with RESTful API design and microservices architecture
• Hands-on experience with trunk-based development and continuous integration
• Strong commitment to code quality and 80%+ test coverage
• Experience with unit testing frameworks such as xUnit, NUnit, or MSTest
• Experience with mocking frameworks (NSubstitute preferred, Moq, FakeItEasy)
• Familiarity with test data generation tools like AutoFixture or Bogus
• Experience with container-based development and TestContainers
• Experience using AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot) with governance awareness
• Advanced English
