Frontend Engineer (Next.js & React, AI-Native)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Frontend Engineer (Next.js & React, AI-Native) based in Brazil.

This role offers the opportunity to build modern digital healthcare experiences using cutting-edge frontend technologies and AI-powered development workflows.

Accountabilities

As a Frontend Engineer, you will design, develop, and optimize user experiences across consumer applications and internal healthcare platforms. You will combine strong frontend engineering skills with AI-assisted development practices to deliver high-quality, scalable, and user-friendly solutions.

• Build responsive web applications using Next.js, React, and TypeScript.
• Translate product designs and Figma prototypes into clean, reusable, and pixel-accurate components.
• Develop production-ready features with strong attention to usability, performance, and maintainability.
• Create modern interfaces for e-commerce experiences, patient portals, provider dashboards, and complex healthcare workflows.
• Build AI-powered user experiences, including conversational interfaces, streaming AI responses, and AI-assisted workflows.
• Use AI development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude, or ChatGPT to improve productivity and engineering efficiency.
• Continuously refine AI-assisted development workflows while maintaining strong coding standards.
• Optimize frontend performance through Core Web Vitals improvements, bundle optimization, lazy loading, and efficient rendering strategies.
• Develop maintainable client-side state management solutions using modern React patterns and libraries.
• Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs and real-time services.
• Build accessible, responsive, and consistent interfaces across browsers and devices.
• Contribute to shared component libraries, design systems, and reusable UI patterns.
• Write maintainable, testable code and participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and QA teams to deliver impactful features.
• Follow secure development practices and support interfaces that comply with healthcare security standards.
  
  

Requirements

The ideal candidate is a frontend engineer with solid React expertise, strong attention to user experience, and an interest in using AI tools to enhance development practices. You should be comfortable working independently, solving problems creatively, and contributing to a collaborative remote engineering environment.

• 2-4 years of professional frontend development experience.
• Strong experience with React and Next.js.
• Good knowledge of TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and frontend development best practices.
• Experience building responsive and accessible user interfaces.
• Ability to implement designs from Figma with attention to detail.
• Experience with Tailwind CSS or similar styling frameworks.
• Familiarity with modern state management libraries such as TanStack Query, Zustand, or Redux Toolkit.
• Understanding of frontend performance concepts, including Core Web Vitals, caching strategies, lazy loading, image optimization, and rendering fundamentals.
• Regular experience using AI development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude, or ChatGPT.
• Ability to use AI tools effectively while maintaining engineering quality and best practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to take ownership of assigned projects.
• Good communication and collaboration skills in a remote team environment.
• Professional-level English communication skills.
