About the Role:

• Role: Mid Java Engineer
• Location: Brazil (Remote)
• Employment Type: Contract

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and development of backend features using Java and

Spring Boot.

• Support indexing and search improvements with Elasticsearch.

• Work on event-driven systems with Kafka and other messaging tools.

• Assist in optimizing system performance and ensuring reliable operations.

• Participate in code reviews and follow best practices.

• Collaborate with the team to deliver new product features.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

• 2–5 years of experience in software development.

• Strong programming skills in Java (knowledge of Spring Boot is a plus).

• Basic understanding of databases (SQL or NoSQL).

• Interest in learning about Elasticsearch, Kafka, and distributed systems.

• Familiarity with CI/CD and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.

• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to search engines (Elasticsearch, Solr, or similar).

• Experience with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS, etc.).

• Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes basics.

• Agile/Scrum experience.
