Java backend with AI

Location: Sao Palo, Brazil (Hybrid 2 days work from office) - specific office location in the Paulista or Pinheiros

Mandatory Tech Stack - Java17/21, Springboot, AWS and AI.

Role Summary

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-native backend services that power enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in modern Java development, distributed systems, and cloud-native architectures, along with practical experience leveraging AI technologies to enhance software development and application capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java 17/21 and Spring Boot.

Build and enhance cloud-native microservices and REST APIs deployed on AWS.

Develop resilient, high-performance distributed systems following modern software engineering best practices.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and deliver new features.

Leverage AI technologies to improve developer productivity and integrate AI-powered capabilities into applications where appropriate.

Participate in code reviews, testing, performance optimization, and production support.

Required Skills

Strong hands-on experience with Java 17/21.

Expertise in Spring Boot and Microservices architecture.

Experience developing and deploying applications on AWS.

Strong understanding of REST APIs, distributed systems, and cloud-native application development.

Hands-on experience with AI technologies, including Agentic AI, LLM integrations, AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude, Amazon Q), or AI-enabled application development.

Strong problem-solving skills and experience working in Agile development environments.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.

Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging platforms such as Kafka.

Experience working in FinTech or other high-scale enterprise environments.
