Junior/Mid Data Engineer - Brazil 100% remote

We’ve got big plans to expand into new markets and make a meaningful impact on the world of payments. To help us get there, our Data team is on the lookout for a new Data Engineer.

About the role: The position is a hands-on Data Engineer role, with a primary focus on developing Data solutions: collection, transport, maintenance/curation and access to PayRetailers corporate data assets.

Your responsibilities:

• Build data acquisition process from various data sources like databases, files, REST APIs, streams.
• New data pipeline development and manintenance.
• Transform large datasets using advanced analytical solutions and data engineering techniques
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including on the client side, to discuss data-driven findings and take actionable items on technical issues.
• Participate in troubleshooting and managing data related incidents.

Background and Experience: We are seeking a professional with 2+ years of experience. The ideal candidate is a self-driven, fast-learning professional with hands-on experience in designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and ETL processes. The skills listed below are considered nice-to-have qualifications.

• At least +2 years of experience in Microsoft Azure or AWS cloud Tech stack: Databricks, Data Lake, Data factory.
• Proficiency in OOP Pyspark.
• Experience in SQL.
• Experience in data modeling.
• Data visualization skills.
• Excellent problem-solving, teamwork and time management skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate data architecture, design and technical proposals.
• Valuable: Experience with CI/CD and administration.
• Airflow.
• Big query.
