Lead Platform Engineer

About The Opportunity

We are looking for a Lead Platform Engineer to join an exciting pilot initiative focused on

building a high-performing platform engineering team in Brazil. The team structure includes

one Platform Lead and engineers at different seniority levels, creating a collaborative

environment with strong opportunities for technical growth and ownership.

This role is ideal for engineers passionate about infrastructure automation, cloud platforms,

scalability, reliability, and building internal platforms that enable engineering teams to move

faster.

You will work in a fast-paced environment solving complex technical challenges while

contributing to scalable and resilient systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to design, build, and maintain scalable platform infrastructure and cloud environments
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and related tools
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation processes
• Implement observability strategies including logging, monitoring, alerting, and metrics collection
• Improve reliability, availability, and performance of distributed systems
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to streamline developer workflows
• Create automation scripts and tooling to reduce manual operational effort
• Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, and production support activities
• Contribute to platform architecture decisions and engineering best practices
• Mentor engineers and help establish strong platform engineering standards
  
  

• Strong experience in Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code principles
• Strong experience with AWS cloud services
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Solid knowledge of observability tools and monitoring concepts
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar
• Experience working with distributed systems and cloud-native environments
• Strong understanding of Linux and networking fundamentals
• Experience with Git workflows and automation practices
• Professional communication skills in English
  
  

• Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration
• Experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD, or similar tools
• Knowledge of security and DevSecOps practices
• Experience building internal developer platforms
• Exposure to large-scale SRE or platform teams
• Experience supporting e-commerce, automotive, or high-scale enterprise environments
• Knowledge of multi-cloud environments
• Experience mentoring or leading engineering teams
