PowerBI Developer/Reporting Analyst

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer / Reporting Analyst to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level reporting solutions that support executive decision-making. This role will be responsible for transforming complex business data into meaningful insights through interactive dashboards, self-service reporting, and executive-ready analytics.

The ideal candidate has strong expertise in Power BI, SQL, and data modeling, with experience supporting staffing, workforce, HR, or operational reporting environments. This individual will partner closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs, develop scalable data models, and deliver high-quality dashboards that drive business performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for executive leadership and business stakeholders.
• Build scalable semantic data models using best practices for DAX, Power Query, and star/snowflake schema design.
• Connect, transform, and integrate data from multiple sources including SQL databases, Excel, SharePoint, ATS, VMS/MSP platforms, and HRIS systems.
• Develop self-service reporting solutions that enable business users to analyze data independently.
• Manage Power BI Service workspaces, datasets, refresh schedules, Row-Level Security (RLS), and deployment pipelines.
• Partner with business leaders to gather reporting requirements and translate business questions into actionable analytics.
• Support recurring business reviews by delivering accurate and timely operational reports and KPI dashboards.
• Implement data quality controls, maintain reporting documentation, and support data governance initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on experience developing Power BI solutions.
• Advanced knowledge of Power BI, DAX, Power Query (M), and Power BI Service.
• Strong SQL skills, including joins, CTEs, stored procedures, and query optimization.
• Experience designing semantic data models using star and snowflake schemas.
• Experience developing executive-level dashboards and KPI reporting.
• Experience managing Power BI workspaces, datasets, scheduled refreshes, and Row-Level Security.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting staffing, recruiting, workforce, HR, or operational reporting.
• Experience working with ATS, VMS/MSP, HRIS, or ERP platforms.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, SharePoint, Azure, Power Automate, or data governance best practices.
