This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Profissional Desenvolvedor Android - Especialista based in Brazil.

This is an opportunity to work on a high-scale Android application serving millions of customers across banking and financial journeys. You will join a product squad where engineers are expected to understand business problems, shape solutions, and take ownership of measurable product outcomes. The role combines advanced Kotlin development with modern Android architecture, cloud integration, observability, and security. You will contribute to experiences spanning payments, credit, cards, onboarding, and account services. The environment emphasizes performance, reliability, experimentation, and continuous improvement. You will also help influence architecture and engineering practices within an agile, collaborative team.

Accountabilities

  • Develop and evolve Android features using Kotlin, with a strong focus on performance, stability, reliability, and reducing crash rates.
  • Translate business journeys such as onboarding, payments, contracting, and self-service into high-quality product experiences tied to measurable conversion and engagement outcomes.
  • Integrate the Android application with Google Cloud services, including Firebase, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, and Pub/Sub-based event flows.
  • Implement telemetry and business-event instrumentation, using data and analytics to support product decisions and A/B experimentation.
  • Apply financial-sector security practices, including biometrics, certificate pinning, root and tamper detection, protection of sensitive information, and compliance with LGPD and internal security policies.
  • Participate throughout the mobile CI/CD lifecycle, including builds, automated testing, distribution, Play Store releases, and pipeline automation.
  • Contribute to architecture decisions, code reviews, technical standards, and the adoption of Android engineering best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and other stakeholders to identify problems, evaluate solutions, and deliver improvements in a high-volume transactional environment.

Requirements

  • Advanced proficiency in Kotlin, including practical experience with Coroutines and Flow.
  • Strong knowledge of Jetpack Compose and the broader Jetpack ecosystem, including Navigation, Room, WorkManager, and DataStore.
  • Solid understanding of Android architecture patterns such as MVVM or MVI, Clean Architecture, modularization, and dependency injection using Hilt or Koin.
  • Experience consuming REST APIs using technologies such as Retrofit and OkHttp, including error handling, caching, and offline states.
  • Strong automated testing experience with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit and MockK, as well as instrumentation testing with Espresso or Compose Testing.
  • Experience with Git, agile product squads, and established code review practices.
  • Hands-on experience with Firebase and at least one additional Google Cloud Platform service.
  • Previous experience working on high-volume transactional products, preferably in banking, fintech, payments, or digital retail.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and technical decision-making skills.
  • Ability to take ownership of business problems rather than simply executing predefined technical tasks.

Benefits

  • Opportunity to work on a high-scale digital financial product serving millions of customers.
  • Exposure to modern Android technologies, Google Cloud infrastructure, data analytics, experimentation, and mobile security.
  • Opportunity to influence architecture, engineering standards, and product outcomes within a collaborative squad.
  • Continuous learning and professional development through knowledge-sharing communities, training initiatives, leadership programs, and educational partnerships.
  • Access to an environment that values innovation, collaboration, diversity, respect, and ethical practices.
  • International exposure through an organization with operations across Brazil and other global markets.
  • Opportunity to grow as a technical specialist while working on complex, high-impact technology challenges.
  • Agile and collaborative working environment focused on ownership, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
