Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

Position Summary:

Our partner is a rapidly growing SaaS company delivering business-critical software where reliability, scalability, and release confidence directly impact customer trust and retention. As the platform continues to scale, they are evolving their QA function from manual execution to a modern automation-first approach that improves speed, quality, and overall engineering productivity.

They are hiring a QA Automation Engineer to help drive this transition, who will focus on increasing QA capability rather than simply adding capacity by building scalable automation systems, reducing regression effort, and embedding quality earlier in the development lifecycle. Success in this position means improving release confidence, accelerating delivery, and preventing defects instead of reacting to them after the fact.

This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who prefers building over executing. You will design and enhance automation frameworks, develop tests across API, UI, and end-to-end workflows, and integrate validation directly into CI/CD pipelines. You will work closely with developers to ensure quality is built into the product from the start rather than added at the end. The environment includes distributed systems, API driven architectures, and cloud infrastructure. There is strong ownership in this role, not only over test coverage but over how quality is delivered and scaled across the organization.

Experience and Education:

• BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Arts or equivalent experience/field
• Background working in SaaS or product-based engineering environments
• History of building or significantly enhancing QA automation frameworks
• Exposure to CI/CD-driven development and continuous testing practices
• Work across API-driven and distributed system architectures
• Familiarity with modern JavaScript-based testing ecosystems
• Experience contributing to engineering teams focused on scalability and reliability

• Build and evolve scalable, maintainable test automation frameworks
• Develop automated tests across UI, API, and end-to-end workflows
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation

• Validate backend systems through API testing to reduce UI dependency
• Identify gaps in test coverage and improve QA processes proactively
