Location: Alphaville – Barueri, São Paulo, Brazil

Work Model: Hybrid – candidate must be able to work from the office in Alphaville, Barueri

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join a high-impact analytics and data science team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in predictive modeling, machine learning, statistical analysis, and developing analytical solutions for real-world business problems.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, analyze, and interpret large and complex datasets

• Develop predictive models and machine learning solutions for real-world applications

• Apply advanced statistical concepts and machine learning algorithms

• Work with algorithms including Logistic Regression, XGBoost, Neural Networks, and other predictive techniques

• Evaluate model performance and optimize models for accuracy and efficiency

• Develop deployable and stress-tested machine learning solutions

• Identify opportunities to apply data science and AI to business problems

• Work on complex analytical problems across multiple business domains

• Support solutions involving risk assessment, fraud detection, recommendation engines, and predictive analytics

• Aggregate, visualize, and communicate analytical findings to business users and leadership

• Build clear narratives around analytical results and business impact

• Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Lead analytical projects involving multiple products or teams

• Provide technical guidance and review the work of junior Data Scientists and peers

• Contribute to data science standards, code repositories, and analytical best practices

• Identify and resolve issues related to data, models, processes, and analytical projects

Required Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of experience in data science, analytics, machine learning, or a related field

• Proven experience designing and developing predictive models

• Strong experience with machine learning and statistical modeling

• Experience evaluating and optimizing predictive model performance

• Strong programming experience, preferably with Python

• Strong SQL and data analysis skills

• Experience with Logistic Regression, XGBoost, Neural Networks, or similar machine learning algorithms

• Ability to translate complex business problems into technical and analytical solutions

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

• Cloud certification

• Experience with risk analytics, fraud detection, credit analytics, recommendation systems, or related domains

• Experience with AI and advanced analytics

• Experience deploying machine learning models into production

• Experience with MLOps and model lifecycle management
