Senior Mobile Engineer

About The Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer to join a fast-growing product team working on a mobile application built with React Native (Expo) and approaching its App Store release.

This role plays a critical part in a vendor transition, requiring someone who can quickly ramp up on an existing codebase, ensure continuity, and actively contribute to the evolution of the product—especially toward more performance-sensitive and low-latency features.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of an existing React Native mobile application and drive its ongoing development
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new features and improvements
• Support the transition from the current vendor, ensuring a smooth handoff and continuity
• Develop and enhance features related to user account management (signup, login, etc.)
• Build new functionality, including interactive mobile experiences (e.g., controller-like features)
• Contribute to improving app performance, reducing latency, and enhancing responsiveness
• Participate in technical discussions and contribute to architectural decisions, including potential native evolution
  
  

• Strong hands-on experience with React Native
• Experience working with Expo or similar frameworks
• Proven experience working within and evolving existing production applications
• Solid experience integrating RESTful APIs
• Strong understanding of mobile application architecture and best practices
• Ability to quickly ramp up and take ownership in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across distributed teams
  
  

• Experience with native mobile development (Swift, Kotlin, Objective-C)
• Exposure to performance optimization and low-latency applications
• Experience building real-time or interactive features (e.g., controllers, streaming, input systems)
• Experience contributing to technical direction or architecture decisions
• Background in consumer-facing or marketplace applications
• Familiarity with real-time communication technologies (WebSockets, streaming)
• Experience with gaming-related features or interactive mobile experiences
