About the Role

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer / Test Engineer to join a remote, full-time technology project.

This role is responsible for designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test plans to ensure the quality and reliability of software products. The selected candidate will work with Java and JavaScript-based applications, validate data across SQL Server and MongoDB, test applications deployed across on-premises and AWS environments, and collaborate closely with development and cross-functional teams to identify and resolve defects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Java and JavaScript-based applications.
• Validate data integrity and query performance across SQL Server and MongoDB.
• Identify, document, and track defects, collaborating with development teams to resolve issues.
• Participate in Agile methodologies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Test and validate containerized services running on Docker across on-premises and AWS environments.
• Monitor and analyze application health using Kibana, Grafana, and Prometheus.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and design, to ensure product quality and reliability.

Qualifications:

• 4–6 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on test engineering and quality assurance.
• Solid knowledge of Java and JavaScript to understand and test application code.
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server and MongoDB.
• Experience testing applications deployed in cloud environments, on-premises environments, and AWS.
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
• Fluent English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be based in Brazil and available for a remote full-time opportunity.

Nice to Have

• Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks such as Selenium or Appium.
• Experience testing containerized environments with Docker.
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Kibana, Grafana, and Prometheus.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines.
• Experience with test management tools such as TestRail or JIRA.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit or PyUnit.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Familiarity with Agile project management tools such as JIRA or Asana.
