About the Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer – Backend to work on the development of scalable, secure, and high-performance software solutions, with a focus on applications and products powered by Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI).

The professional will be part of a global team, collaborating with Engineering, Product, Research, and Technology teams located across different countries. Therefore, fluent English is mandatory, both for verbal and written communication.

This position offers the opportunity to work on challenges involving software architecture, distributed systems, APIs, microservices, real-time processing, cloud computing, and infrastructure, contributing directly to the development of modern AI solutions for enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and continuously improve scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems;
• Develop solutions focused on high availability, low latency, scalability, and cost efficiency;
• Act as a technical reference in architecture and infrastructure for new products and features;
• Collaborate with global Engineering, Product, Research, and Technology teams to integrate infrastructure components with product capabilities;
• Design and implement event-driven architectures;
• Develop APIs and microservices to support real-time processing, integrations, and analytical applications;
• Ensure system reliability, performance, and scalability through monitoring, logging, observability, and error-handling practices;
• Participate in architectural decisions and the continuous evolution of technology solutions;
• Evaluate and adopt new technologies, frameworks, and methodologies to enhance engineering capabilities;
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices;
• Identify, troubleshoot, and solve complex engineering challenges;
• Contribute to open-source projects when applicable;
• Share knowledge and mentor less experienced engineers;
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and technical and business stakeholders across different countries.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional experience in backend software development, application architecture, or technology consulting;
• Proven experience designing and developing production-grade backend applications and systems;
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field;
• Strong experience developing scalable and highly available systems;
• Solid knowledge of software architecture, APIs, microservices, and distributed systems;
• Experience working with cloud computing environments;
• Ability to operate in highly complex technical environments;
• Experience with modern software development practices, version control, and CI/CD;
• Fluent English – mandatory, due to the position's involvement with a global team and frequent communication with international teams, leaders, and stakeholders.
