This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior SRE/DevOps (Business Observability) based in Brazil.
This is a high-impact, senior-level role focused on redefining how observability connects technology performance to real business outcomes. You will go beyond traditional monitoring to design and implement an end-to-end observability strategy that links infrastructure signals to product and revenue KPIs. Working in a complex, cloud-native environment, you will collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to instrument business events and build actionable insights. The role emphasizes Dynatrace-based Business Observability, SRE best practices, and advanced cloud-native architectures. You will play a strategic part in improving reliability, scalability, and operational intelligence across large-scale systems. This is an opportunity to shape how data-driven decisions are made by bridging technical metrics with business value.
Accountabilities
- Define and evolve a comprehensive observability strategy across metrics, logs, traces, events, and user experience signals, ensuring end-to-end system visibility.
- Design and implement Business Observability capabilities, including instrumentation of business events and creation of custom metrics that connect technical performance to business KPIs.
- Build executive and technical dashboards that align infrastructure SLIs/SLOs with product and business outcomes for clear decision-making.
- Drive SRE and DevOps best practices, supporting incident analysis, root cause analysis (RCA), and continuous improvement of reliability frameworks.
- Partner with product and engineering teams to map critical user journeys and translate them into observable, measurable signals.
- Contribute to the governance and evolution of observability platforms and tools such as Dynatrace, Datadog, Grafana, and ELK Stack.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Dynatrace, particularly Business Events, custom metrics, and advanced observability configurations.
- Solid background in SRE and DevOps practices in cloud environments, especially AWS.
- Experience with containerized environments and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes and Rancher.
- Proficiency with observability and monitoring ecosystems (Datadog, Grafana, ELK Stack, or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of operational metrics such as MTTR, MTTD, MTBF, and ITSM processes (incident, problem, and change management).
- Analytical mindset with the ability to correlate technical signals with business impact (e.g., linking performance degradation to revenue or conversion drops).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to bridge technical and business stakeholders.
- Curiosity, autonomy, and a proactive mindset for continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
