Overview LMI is seeking an experienced Agentic AI / MCP Developer to support the U.

S.

Army Training Information System (ATIS) program.

ATIS is a major Army initiative to modernize and consolidate Army training systems into a single, cloud-native, enterprise-level capability.

As part of an Agile Release Train (ART) operating under the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), you will design, build, and operationalize agentic AI solutions using the Strands framework and Model Context Protocol (MCP) to enable intelligent automation, decision support, and workflow orchestration across the ATIS ecosystem.

This role is highly technical and hands-on, focused on building production-grade AI agents and MCP servers focused on native AWS services, AWS integration, and secure integration with DoW systems, APIs, and data services to improve operational efficiency, system usability, and mission outcomes.

Responsibilities • Lead design and development of agentic AI workflows, agents, and MCP servers using the framework (e.g.

Strands, CrewAI, LangGraph) to support orchestration, generative multi-step reasoning, tool usage, and system interactions. • Implement and manage Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and clients to enable secure, standardized access to ATIS data sources, APIs, and AWS native services.

Qualifications Required Qualifications • Active Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications • Direct experience with the Strands framework and/or Model Context Protocol (MCP).

Travel Requirements • Occasional travel required (e.g., quarterly for PI Planning, program increment events, user engagement sessions, and key program milestones).

Target salary range: $130,000 - 210,000.
