DevOps Engineer

DevOps Engineer (AWS / Python) – LATAM | Remote

Location: Remote – LATAM

Type: Contract (Full-time, 40 hrs/week)

Duration: Through end of year (potential for extension)

About the Role

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join a cutting-edge team supporting our client, working at the intersection of Data Engineering and AI initiatives.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in cloud-native environments, enjoys building scalable CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating closely with AI and Data teams to support modern codebases and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• 5 years of total experience DevOps engineering
• At least 4 years dedicated to DevOps / Cloud roles
• Strong exposure to production environments and scalable systems
• Experience collaborating with data or AI teams (preferred)

Key Responsibilities

• Build, maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines for production systems
• Manage and scale AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, etc.)
• Work closely with Data Engineers and AI teams to support ML pipelines and deployments
• Automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar)
• Deploy and maintain Python-based services and applications
• Improve system reliability, monitoring, and performance
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize system performance

Required Skills

Cloud & DevOps

• AWS (mandatory) – hands-on experience in production environments
• CI/CD tools: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI or similar
• Experience with Docker (required) and Kubernetes (nice to have)

Programming

• Strong experience with Python (3+ years)
• Ability to support backend or full-stack systems

Infrastructure & Automation

• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation or similar
• Monitoring/logging tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, etc.)
