About the role

We are looking for a Junior Software Engineer – Data & AI (Generalist) to join our engineering team and contribute to the evolution of our data platform and AI-powered digital products

.Working alongside Mid-Level and Senior Engineers, you will support the development of data pipelines, APIs, and analytical applications while building your technical expertise in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to grow as a software engineer while gaining exposure to Data Engineering, Backend Development, Frontend Development, and Artificial Intelligence

Key Responsibilities

Data & Analytics

• Support the development and maintenance of SQL queries and data pipelines in BigQuery, following best practices for data quality, performance, and traceability.
• Assist with data transformation and analytical modeling initiatives while learning modern data engineering practices.

APIs & Integrations

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of Python APIs by following established engineering standards and best practices.
• Support integrations between internal systems and external services.

AI & Large Language Models

• Explore AI frameworks such as LangChain with guidance from senior engineers, gaining hands-on experience with practical AI applications.
• Participate in AI-related initiatives and learn how LLM-powered solutions are built and deployed.

Frontend Development

• Contribute to React.js components and user interface improvements for analytical dashboards and internal tools.
• Support frontend enhancements with a focus on usability and maintainability.

Cloud Infrastructure

• Learn and operate cloud resources in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) with support from experienced engineers.
• Gain familiarity with cloud-native development and deployment environments.

Agile Development

• Participate actively in Scrum ceremonies, collaborating with the team and contributing to iterative software delivery.

Required Qualifications

Experience

• Up to 1 year of professional software development experience, or recent graduation in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Academic, internship, personal, or open-source projects are highly valued.

Technical Foundations

• Data: Basic knowledge of SQL for querying and manipulating data.
• Python: Familiarity with Python for scripting and basic data processing.
• Frontend: Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Exposure to React.js is a plus.
• Cloud: Interest in learning cloud platforms such as GCP or OCI.
• Git: Basic experience using Git in collaborative development workflows.
• Learning Mindset: Strong willingness to learn, receive constructive feedback, and continuously develop technical skills.
• Languages: Intermediate English reading skills for technical documentation. Advanced English proficiency is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to BigQuery or other analytical databases through academic, internship, or personal projects.
• Experience with React.js, even through small projects or online courses.
• Demonstrated interest in Artificial Intelligence, including projects, courses, or experimentation with LLM APIs.
• Basic understanding of REST APIs and API consumption.
• Entry-level cloud or data certifications (such as Google Associate Cloud Engineer or Google Data Analytics) are a plus.
• Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) or Agentic AI concepts through personal learning or experimentation.
