Senior Software Engineer, Reliability Engineering (AWS / Serverless)

About the role:

We build and operate org's internal reliability platform: the services that track, assess and

communicate operational events and risk across the company. Our work includes risk scoring,

event workflows, Slack-based notifications, and AI-powered insights agents that give engineers

root-cause analysis and risk context. Our services are serverless and event-driven on AWS, and

we own them end to end, from design to on-call.

What you'll do

Design, build and operate serverless backend services (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB,

SQS, EventBridge) in Go.

Define and ship infrastructure as code with AWS CDK, including org CDK constructs and

multi-environment deployments.

Build observability into everything: dashboards, alerts (Grafana-like tooling), logs (CloudWatch,

Splunk) and tracing. You'll also carry the alerts and on-call.

Integrate with internal platforms and third-party systems, and keep state consistent across

them with retries, idempotency and safe rollbacks.

Keep services secure and compliant: supported runtimes, least-privilege IAM, last-mile

authentication, and data classification and privacy requirements.

Help build and expose services to AI agents (for example through MCP) and support the

Langfuse tracing behind them.

Contribute to the UI where needed.

Must have

Hands-on AWS infrastructure experience, especially Lambda and serverless architectures

Observability experience: metrics, logging, alerting, tracing and troubleshooting production

issues

Strong Go development skills

AWS CDK (TypeScript) for provisioning and managing infrastructure

Solid fundamentals: REST API design, testing, CI/CD, and debugging distributed, event-driven

systems

Nice to haveReact (front-end work on internal tools)

Python (agent services, scripting and data tooling)

Experience with ITSM or operational workflow tooling

Familiarity with LLM agents, Langfuse or MCP

Security and compliance work: runtime upgrades, vulnerability remediation, privacy scanning
