Senior VueJS Engineer

Senior Frontend Engineer | Vue 3 & TypeScript | Remote Contract

We're looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join the development of an AI-powered team collaboration platform featuring real-time messaging, channels, threads, file sharing, search, calls, and an integrated AI assistant.

This is a full-time, dedicated engagement for an experienced engineer who can contribute from day one, deliver production-ready features, and work independently within a collaborative engineering team.

📆 Initial Contract: Through December 31, 2026, with potential monthly extensions

🕒 Schedule: Full-time, with at least 4 hours of daily overlap with US Eastern Time, including 10:00 AM–1:00 PM ET.

🔹 What You'll Do

• Build and deliver frontend features using Vue 3 and TypeScript.
• Develop real-time collaboration features, including channels, direct messages, threads, notifications, file sharing, and search.
• Implement and extend shared component libraries and design systems based on Figma designs.
• Integrate with Django REST APIs and real-time WebSocket services using typed clients.
• Implement optimistic UI updates and responsive, high-performance interfaces.
• Write unit and end-to-end tests for every feature.
• Maintain frontend performance, accessibility, keyboard navigation, and visual consistency.
• Collaborate with frontend leads, designers, and backend engineers through code reviews and iterative releases.
• Support launch readiness, testing, and post-launch stabilization.

✅ Must-Have Skills

• Vue 3, including Composition API.
• Strong TypeScript and typed API contracts.
• State management with Pinia and routing with Vue Router.
• Experience with Vite.
• Real-time application development, including WebSockets and optimistic UI updates.
• Unit and end-to-end testing with Vitest, Playwright, or equivalent tools.
• Pixel-accurate implementation of Figma designs.
• Tailwind CSS.
• Git, pull requests, code reviews, and Jira.
• Strong ownership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Professional English communication, both written and spoken.

⭐ Nice to Have

• Experience reading or integrating with Django and REST APIs.
• WebRTC or media SDK experience.
• Electron or similar desktop application frameworks.
• Previous experience building chat platforms, collaboration tools, or live dashboards.
• Experience developing AI-powered product interfaces.
